This 16-channel relay module is designed to plug directly into one of the 4×16 I/O ports on a FAS 64 Digital Mixed I/O industrial network module.
Connection is via a simple straight through cable comprising of a DB-25 connector on the I/O end and a 26 way header on the relay end (core 26 not used).
The cable can be flat ribbon with IDC connectors where only low voltages are present OR a pre moulded DB-25 round cable where mixed voltages create the requirement for double insulation.
This system considerably reduces wiring overheads.
The 16 relays can be either mechanical Finder 46.61-024-DC relays or Autonics SRS1 series solid state relays. The relay module can be populated with a mixture of mechanical relays or solid state relays to suit the loads being switched.
